Meet Our Ministry Team

Our Pastor

 Brian Amison

Hi, I am Brian Amison. I was installed as pastor at Immanuel Lutheran June 29, 2014. I have been a minister of Lutheran Church-Canada since 1991.

I was pastor at St. John's Magrath and Faith Cardston from 1991 to 1995 and pastor at St. John's Magrath and St. Matthew Milk River from 1995 to 2014.

I graduated from the University of Alberta and received my theological degree from Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Edmonton. I have taken three units of Clinical Pastoral Education and as part of my duties at Magrath, served as chaplain at the Good Samaritan Garden Vista facility.

I thank God for the blessing of being able to serve as pastor at Immanuel. My wife Maggie, children Rebekkah and Joseph look forward to getting to know the community of Rocky in the future. May God bless you all with the riches of His love in Christ Jesus.

Playschool Teacher

Amy Davis

My name is Amy Davis and I am the playschool teacher here at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  I graduated from Red Deer College with my diploma in Early Childhood Development and have been teaching playschool since 2008.  Before becoming a teacher, I was a Child Development Facilitator working with preschool aged children with disabilities.  The Lord has blessed me with a passion for working with children of this age.  It is so exciting to see the world through their eyes as they explore the world around them.

I have two children of my own that constantly keep me on my toes and are such a blessing to me.  I try to enjoy each stage in their lives as they grow so fast.  We enjoy camping and water sports in the summer and skidooing in the winter.

Immanuel Lutheran church has been my home for many years and I enjoy spending time with my church family.  I love to play the piano and feel blessed when I play for worship services on Sundays.  I look forward to what the Lord will continue to unfold for the playschool at Immanuel this year. I am excited to meet all the wonderful families through this ministry.
